Personal Training Guidelines.

At SuperHealth Fitness our Personal Training program is based on the these guidelines:

  • goal setting
  • nutritional assessment
  • health and fitness assessment
  • training sessions
  • homework program

Goal Setting

To ensure that all of our clients achieve what they want and understand how they are going to get there, we provide a goal setting program at the commencement of training.

After consulting your personal trainer, realistic but challenging goals are set in two 6 week cycles.

Not only do we establish your goals and encourage you to display them as a constant reminder, but we also identify what exactly has to be done to achieve them.

Put simply, this is your blue-print for success.

Nutritional Assessment

It is important that you realise that at least 50% of your task to reach your targets relies on your eating. We will talk about your normal day to day eating and what small beneficial changes we might make.

We recommend gradual changes so therefore you are more likely to keep with it in the long term.

Health and Fitness Assessment

A key part of achieving your goals is to take a series of tests to make sure we are on the right track with your training. These tests are conducted so we can train you in a safe and effective manner.

A range of tests may be performed - cardio vascular fitness, blood pressure; body fat measurements, girth measurements and other tests could be performed depending on your goals.

A re-assessment will be done every 4-6 weeks, during your personal training sessions, to make sure we are getting the results that you’re after.

Training Sessions

We use a wide range of training techniques that are specific to the individual needs of the client and their fitness level.

Boxing, kickboxing, skipping, jogging, resistance training, core stability and postural training are some of the methods we use to achieve results whether it is in the gym or at your home.

Homework Program

To make sure you achieve your goals we put in place homework for you to do between your sessions.

Your homework could be exercises or stretches that need to be performed at home or it could be a small change in your diet.

We put these homework tasks in place to motivate you to make exercise a habit in your regular life rather than a chore.
